Proceeds from this sale will support two vital causes: Black families in Altadena displaced by the recent LA fires and LGBTQIA+ Asylum-seekers in Marseille, and Seville.
The two struggles—displacement by fire and displacement by borders—are not separate. Both emerge from systems that prioritize profit over people, that exploit land and bodies with equal violence. This years print sale offer tangible resources for not only myself, but for various communities across the Diaspora.
The prints in this collection are rooted in themes of memory, rupture, and resilience. Each piece has been crafted with the black experience in mind and offers more than a visual experience; they carry many black queer folks stories, and there within a hope for change. By purchasing, you join a community of both care and action, helping to sustain lives and amplify voices that too often go unheard.
